About the Cottage
A special place in a stunning location
Welcome to our 17th Century self catering cottage, tucked away on the historic farm of Cefndeuddwr in the heart of the Coed y Brenin Forest Park , Snowdonia. From the moment you arrive, your eyes will be drawn to the wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forest. The cottage sits high on a ridge between two beautiful river valleys. A short walk or ride from the cottage down the hill into the Eden valley will see you at the Coed y Brenin Visitors Centre from where you can follow extensive walking or mountain biking trails - or simply enjoy a coffee and cake! Explore the other side of the hill and you will find yourself in the Mawddach valley with its stunning waterfalls and gold mining history.
To find us you follow a single track tarmac road through the forest for three quarters of a mile and then turn up a short track to the farm. You don't need a 4x4 - standard saloon cars are fine - but you might want to leave the Maserati in the garage. Whether you are in search of outdoor adventures, peace and tranquility or a romantic escape we think you will find it all here.
